Frei Antonio de Sant'Anna Galvao, born Guaratinguetá, State of Sao Paulo, a city not far from the National Shrine of Our Lady Aparecida. Frei Galvão was born in 1739 in a family deeply pious and renowned for its great charity to the poor.
